Welcome |
We are Neil and
Jane Watson, and we simply love this area. We know that
we have found the perfect place, here in the heart of the
Languedoc region, in the South West of France. A million
miles from the hustle and bustle of the French Riviera.
You can keep Cannes, forget Frejus, and Nice isn’t
so nice either. |
The bedroom shuttered windows on the first floor |
Here, it is easy
to reach from England. Ryanair flies to Carcassonne airport
from Stansted, East Midlands, Liverpool, Shanon and Dublin.
Please see our ‘Getting
There’ page for more information. |
Local wine to celebrate your holiday |
We welcome you to stay in our two-bedroom
apartment within this beautiful chateau, situated within
100 hectares of wooded parkland. It is high up in the countryside
within the area known as the Montagnes Noir. Clean, fresh
air is guaranteed all year round – giving welcome
relief to the sometimes stifling heat of the seaside resorts.
Although Le Petit Chateau is surrounded
by nature, it is only around half an hour from the ‘must see’ walled
Cite de Carcassonne.

Nothing to do but sit and relax |
If, like us, you prefer peace and quiet, combined with lovely
walks, and real French living, we are certain that this will
be your ultimate ‘tasse du the’ (cup of tea!).
|
There is a picnic table just outside the door |
Come and discover for yourself this wonderful place, and
experience a holiday that you won’t want to end. It
is the perfect place to unwind and we are sure that within
seconds of arriving all stresses and anxieties will be left
far, far behind.

and Pyrenees mountains in the distance |
The apartment is a perfect romantic location for two. Or
why not come with friends or family? There is plenty of room,
with two double bedrooms, each with en-suite shower.

Get fit before breakfast with your
own French 'Baguette' Experience |
We love to walk or cycle to the village
to get our bread before breakfast; to where the little baker’s
shop is also the proprietor’s home. The baker’s
wife comes out of her living room to serve you, while the
baker proudly places the next batch of dough into the ancient
oven.
This is what we call our French “Baguette” Experience.
What will become your French experience? |
Even in the winter months, Le Petit Chateau looks magnificent |
